Sažetak
In the paper we described a dialog manager prototype which plays a central role in the Croatian weather spoken dialog system. The task of the dialog manager is to analyze user question and provide an adequate answer. The dialog manager is responsible for all dialog actions, the dialog strategy and interaction scenarios. The user utterance is semantically decomposed into semantic frames. The output frame slots are gathered from the weather domain database and weather knowledge database. Finally the answer in the form of a correct Croatian sentence is generated. The dialog manager is implemented as a finite-state automaton in Common LISP. This prototype will be used for gathering dialogs and possible interaction strategies with users. According to the gathered data the dialog manager will be improved: the dialog strategy will be shifted from system driven to user driven, the dialog manager will cover all listed scenarios, the language generation module will be extended with morphological information, so the correct form of the generated word can be derived automatically using a morphological generator.
