Sažetak
The reform of the instruction pursuant to the Bologna Declaration was introduced at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in the first year of civil engineering undergraduate study in academic year 2005/06. From the very beginning the reform has received comments, suggestions and criticism by the students, teaching staff and associates which has resulted in systematic monitoring and analysis of the teaching process for the propose of its objective evaluation. The student success rate is monitored trough student surveys (analyzed by Quality Guarantee Committee) and the analysis of the students’ success and pass rate (analyzed by Committee for Teaching Process). The purpose of the anonymous student surveys is to collect the information on students’ assessment and evaluation of the quality of the teaching staff and the implementation of the instruction. The analysis of student success rate consists of monitoring the students’ work during semester (attendance rate and participation, fulfillment of tasks, pre-exam success rate, … ) and statistical data on the success and pass rate into higher study years. The paper brings the outline of the success rate monitoring in the last two years, relevant problems and steps undertaken by the Faculty Council to improve the instruction.
