Sažetak
The growth of traffic demand leads also to an increase in the traffic complexity, and this influences in turn the constant improvement of the intelligent transport systems (ITS) and their services. In order to achieve the appropriate dynamics of ITS services development, and make them adequate to the current requirements, there is a need to systemically research the intelligent services. The scientific method of survey was used to study the knowledge about the ITS services and to identify the needs from the position of telecommunication experts. The study was carried out as a pilot project follow-up after which the need for a comprehensive research of all the present telecommunication operators in the region will be determined. The survey was carried out at the telecommunication operator, UPC Telemach Slovenia d.o.o., a specialized telecommunication operator, telecommunication service provider in the Republic of Slovenia.
