Sažetak
The summary reaction between silicon dioxide, carbon and nitrogen at Carbothermal reduction and subsequent nitridation is given by:
3SiO2 + 6C + 2N2= Si3N4 + 6CO.
It is generally accepted that the overall reaction takes place by two main partial reactions. The first partial reaction is the SiO2 reduction to yield SiO and the second partial reaction is a Si3N4 formation. Such model was proposed by Zhang and Cannon and accepted by most researches including the authors of present paper.
