Sažetak
Enzymatic production of an important natural flavour ester, isoamyl acetate was studied by using immobilized Candida antartica lipase B in different reaction media, such as ionic liquids, supercritical fluid and solvent-free system. After thermal stability investigations [bmim PF6 ionic liquid was chosen as best reaction medium. The synthesis was carried out in a bioreactor with 90-92 % yield, then it was completed by removing water produced in the reaction by zeolite adsorption. Finally, practically 100 % yield was achieved. An integrated system was developed for the separation of the isoamyl alcohol - water - isoamyl acetate ternary azeotropic mixture, combining pervaporation and osmotic distillation. An alternative route, extractive distillation, was also investigated for separation by using ionic liquids as entrainers.
