Sažetak
The successful habilitation of person woth bilateral cleft lip depends on the reconstruction of the lip and nose. After primary cheiloplasty esthetics and function of those structures may remain insufficient ; irregular scars on the philtrum, loss of the Cupid`s bow, whistle deformity, short columella, flat nasal tip, asymmetric nostrils, wider floor of the nostrils or lowered alar base are most frequent problems. At the Department of Maxillofacial surgery in Zagreb, from 1987 to 1991, secondary nasal cleft lip deformities of bilateral clefts in 46 patients were repaired simultaneously with the combination of paranasal muscle reconstruction and forked flap.
