Sažetak
Samples of sage (Salvia officinalis L.) honey, originated from the Kvarner Bay islands and its littoral area, were collected during the 2005 production season. They were submitted to the melissopalinological (microscopic) analyses in order to confirm their floral origin. Content of nine different minerals have been determined. Flame atomic absorption spectrometry was applied in analysis of sodium (Na), calcium (Ca), potassium (K) and manganese (Mg). Copper (Cu), cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), nickel (Ni) and chrome (Cr) were analyzed by graphite tube atomization spectrometry. Taking into the account that mineral content of sage honey has not previously been reported, these are the preliminary data that could be accrue for future respective studies.
