Sažetak
In Project of European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology - Euromelanoma Day which is on May 5, 2008 are active in prevention campaign against melanoma some European countries for few years yet. According idea of Croatian Committee for Dermatology and Venereology of the Croatian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Croatian Dermatovenerological Society of the Croatian Medical Association, and Referral Center of Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Croatia for Melanoma, Croatian dermatovenerologists would like to participate and include in pan-European prevention campaign skin cancer with free-of-charge screening for moles by dermatologist on May 5, 2008. Croatian Dermatovenerological Society will start with the project in cooperation with Oktal Pharma (Pierre Fabre Dc) Croatia with “ Avene sun-days of melanoma” (who had continuing actions in this filed for the last two years) from May 5-9, 2008 with free-of-charge screening of moles and 400 examinees in five Departments in Croatia: Zagreb (2), Rijeka, Split, and Osijek. In cooperation with La Roche-Posay for Croatia and Slovenia free-of-charge screening skin examination will be organize in same way on June 2-6, 2008 with advertising actions from May 26-28, 2008. The EADV president-elect Prof. Andreas Katsambas welcome Croatian campaign joining the Euromelanoma Day campaign working with unique European questionnaire for examination. The motto for all European countries include in this campaign this year is: “ Check your moles regularly ; catch melanoma early!” We all wish full success of Euromelanoma Day campaign with dignified Croatian contribution in melanoma prevention.
