Sažetak
The stakeholder approach has been designed to assert the general principles of equality, unity, and solidarity. Its key value is inclusion. Its supporters emphasize the wish to form a just society compatible with private property, profit-making, and decentralized decisions on the market. A stakeholder society (economy, enterprise) is based on the reciprocity of rights and obligations which is generated around the notion of economic, social, and political inclusion. Social entrepreneurship is related to the not-for-profit and public sector, and the goal of a social entrepreneur is the creation of positive social changes, rather than profit-making. Although there is some tension between for-profit, commercial entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship, one can see them as parts of a broader whole if entrepreneurship is seen as a) a style of management and b) an economic and social activity. The starting point of this paper is the idea that social entrepreneurship, if taken as a style of management in the not-for-profit and public sector, can open up conceptual and managerial opportunities for the creation of a stakeholder society and economy. Therefore, the goal of this paper is to analyse similarities and differences between stakeholder and social entrepreneurship.
