Sažetak
In this work authors have analyzed historical development and today’ s legal status of Aland also specifics of autonomy which Aland´s population achieved by domestic acts and by Finnish Constitution. Finland has hold its sovereignty and protected territorial integrity and Aland has received adequately rights and freedom in areas of education, language, media, regional citizenship and restrictions on land alienation which enable to keep separate identity. The role of League of Nations is especially important in solving conflict between Finland and Sweden about Aland and situation which islands have today. Like practice approved, allowance of very high autonomy to Aland did not in any way disturbed or endangered sovereignty or territorial integrity of Finland, but did even tightened Finland like one of the most democratic countries on the world. Authors will write about historical facts that brought to the special status of Aland, and how one doubted situation can contribute to all like a role model with an excellent solution for each side. The authors will also write about Finland generally, therefore Swedish minority enjoy benefits also in hole country. It is very important to draw attention on Aland and to point that after quarrel situation can become more than satisfied for all parts. Contemporary issues in ensuring rights are more intensive and demanding, rights need to be ensured on higher, developed level and Aland´s case can point to all of that. It is most possible that respecting of human rights is best guarantee for keeping territorial integrity because experience shows that secession appears there where exist discrimination, violation of rights, genocide, prosecution etc.
