Sažetak
Since the democratic changes in the early 1990s Croatian financial system has changed dramatically and has become competitive and comparable to developed and sophisticated financial systems in market oriented economies. The degree of financial system development measured by types and structure of existing financial institutions, their diversified activities and assets, used financial instruments and techniques on financial market, etc. appear on a high level of development of Croatian financial system. But there are several financial structures’ elements that have to be transformed and restructured in future period. The goal of this paper is to introduce future expectations for Croatian financial system, to critically evaluate their consequences for financial structure development and to indicate future directions and trends in integration of Croatian financial service industry into European financial market.
