Sažetak
Keeping in mind the importance of the quality of seamless steel tubes surface, the influence of a chamber furnace gas atmosphere on their outer surface has been investigated. As a result of the investigation the thickness of the scaling layer has been found out and the cause of the cracks on the outer surface of the tube has been explained. There has not been noticed any negative influence of the scaling in the reducing tube process.
