Sažetak
In Croatia different effects are generated as a result of economy-reorganization and privatization, which the Croatian public considers as illegitimate and occasionally illegal, and individuals, who followed moral principles in that process, as losers, and contractors mainly as opportunists. Because of insufficiently developed institutional frame, a lack of real capital in planned economy and not enough experience needed for ruling the new structure, which caught hold of Croatia at the beginning of the 90-s of the last century, furthermore enforced by a non-existent, but also neglected strict legal regulative, ingenious individuals found open opportunities for gaining profit and accumulating wealth. This paper will open another, up to now insufficiently emphasized, dimension of the privatization process in Croatia, which happens in globalization „wave“ of changes, namely the general moral. We are obligated to search the principle, which could contribute to making a consensus in understanding something that is obviously globally necessary, which would be the founding of values in the creation of a cosmopolitan world-view. Seen this way, it appears that the terms tolerance, dialogue and responsibility are directives to be followed, i.e. terms, which are, if not essential, then definitively indicative, and can have the role of a corrective factor in interpersonal and intercultural communication.
