Sažetak
The decision-makers are often in situation facing unknown but forced to choose the right option. Most of available tools are sophisticated and time consuming, and therefore decision makers are often reluctant to use them. Out of available tools decision tree modeling is most convenient because it is simple and not to much time consuming. Decision tree is used to select the best course of action in situations where we face uncertainty. The use of decision tree models are based on knowledge about what the possible outcomes are and how likely each is to occur. This information can be used to select the option that is most likely to yield favorable results. Unfortunately, this tool is neglected in spite of its ease of use. Presented is procedure of decision tree set up for analysis of two alternative approaches to white collar work in the case of Croatian labor market. One approach refers to office work that is traditionally regarded as the only option for companies involved in any kind of business. Fixed costs related to office work are high and often not obvious. The other approach to work refers to teleworking, that is more suitable to contemporary lifestyles and enables companies to choose new employees form the wider pool of potential workers.
