Sažetak
The purpose of this examination was to establish needs for relining movable dentures no matter what the age or sex of the patient is and that of the age of the denture. Moreover, the cause was to examine and represent the method in which is needed to conclude the relinning(direct or indirect method of relining), due to the frequency of relining the jaws(maxila or mandibula).n this research 254 patients participated who were accepted to the General hospital in Zagreb-Zapad because of the relining of their removable dentures. From the dental records 254 patients in which the dentures were relined in order to recieve their general information (age, sex), and furthermore their information about the time when the dentures were done and the type of dentures that were made. After that information was given of the dates of relining moveable dentures, methods of relining (indirect and direct), and the jaws in which was relined (maxila or mandibula). After the statistical analysis the results of the research it was possible to to conclude how the numbers of users of the upper dentures that were larger in number than in the relationship to the lower dentures. Research has shown that often relining the upper jaw (61%) in relation to the lower jaw (39%). Research shows that relining is done more often with women than whith that of men(1, 7:1). The most used methods is indirect relining(83%). The average of the patients is 70 years(min 41, max 96). The average of the relining of moveable dentures is 6 years, in which the maximum is 18 years and the minimal is 1 year. Upon the statistical analysis could be concluded that 50 percent are prevailingly satisfied with their relining moveable dentures.
