Sažetak
Authors pointed out the espied errors in weight and drafts estimation within surface vessel and especially naval submarine hydrostatic calculations. They demonstrate how these errors came from present vessel weight calculation procedure that is based on constant air pressure relevant to water surface level. Influences of differences in air pressure above actual waterline as well as air pressure under actual waterline that are not included in present procedure are described. With their inclusion into buoyancy calculations, draft prediction in vessel design is improved. Also, improvement is achieved in vessel weight estimation related to measured drafts.
