Sažetak
Business Intelligence Systems are used as Decision Support Systems. They enable data to be transformed into information and presented to the end user in a clear and simple manner, thus making it possible to take the right business decision based on accurate, clear and consistent information. Only when processed and presented in an appropriate manner can these data generate knowledge. Implementation and consulting experts in the field of business intelligence point out unnumbered possibilities, and it is up to the management to decide what information is needed and when. Timely, complete and reliable information means making optimum decisions, resulting in good performance. Managing hotel performance is integrated with business intelligence systems. In the hotel industry, business intelligence is connected with the intelligent hotel room system, which enables considerable control over the use of energy sources and helps to optimise work processes, rationalise costs and increase revenue. The main objective of this paper is to show what business intelligence is about, demonstrate what managing hotel performance means, and prove the economic effects of energy efficiency on the example of intelligent hotel rooms. In conclusion, there is a need for hotel enterprises to manage their businesses in accordance with business intelligence systems.
