Sažetak
Increasing demand for electrical power worldwide increase efforts for the construction of new power plants, witch would have higher reliability, efficiency and acceptable environmental effects. Number of the power plants using gas turbines has been increasing worldwide in regions with access to suitable fuels, mainly natural gas or biomass fuel. The critical components of a gas turbine are blades because they operate under severe conditions such are high temperatures, high mechanical stresses and hot corrosion. Gas turbines, and particularly their hot path components, require relatively high maintenance cost. Because of that, selection of the adequate materials for these components is very demanding. This paper is a review of materials that can be used in high temperatures regions of the gas turbine hot path.
