Sažetak
A significant proportion of brain lesions occur prenataly, most commonly being caused by intrauterine hypoxia due to insufficient uteroplacental circulation. The consequences of these events for fetal brain growth and development are widespread and related to vulnerable periods, entailing a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders. Using early determination of functional CNS status with early intervention/habilitation and follow-up of functional and structural recovery, we can determine the processes of brain plasticity.
