Sažetak
An accounting profession, as every other profession, has been changing under the influence of many changes from its environment. These changes pertain to laws, principles of accounting profession and other coherent disciplines. In later time, very important changes pertain to information technology. Accounting profession changes are influenced by changes in a status and a profession of accountants, institutes that promote accounting profession and changes of skills and knowledge of accountants. Paper presents some features of accounting skills' history and basic features of present and future accounting knowledge and skills.
