Sažetak
In this study, the efficacy and safety of mexiletine in the treatment for symptomatic ventricular premature beats (VPBs), comaparing patients with ischemic and nonischemic cardiac disease, was examined. Results of the study showed mexiletine to be more efficient in the suppression of VPBs in patients with ischemic than in those with nonischemi heart disaese (93% s 60%, p<0.003).
