Sažetak
Patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy experience postoperative pain. Intraperitoneal (IP) administration of some drugs can be effective for relief of pain after laparoscopic surgery. The effect of intraperitoneal application of tramadol on pain after laparoscopic cholecystectomy was studied in this randomized, double-blinded study. At the end of laparoscopic cholecystectomy 63 patients received the following injections in randomized manner: Group A (n=33) was given intraperitoneal tramdol (1 mg/kg in 50 ml saline) and 500 ml intravenous (i.v.) saline ; Group B (n=30) received intraperitoneal 50 ml saline and 100 mg tramadol intravenous followed by 300 mg tramadol in 500 ml intravenous saline during 24 hours. VAS pain, sedation score and postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) were recorded at 30 minutes, 1, 2, 4 and 24 hours after surgery. Mean arterial pressure (MAP) and pulse of each patient were recorded before and 30 minutes, 1, 2, 4 and 24 hours after operation. Postoperative analgesic and antiemetic consumption were also assessed. Intraperitoneal tramadol reduced overall pain for the first four hours after surgery. Intraperitoneal tramadol reduced consumption of supplementary postoperative analgesic and antiemetic medication. Intraperitoneal administration of tramadol is effective and therefore recommended in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
