Sažetak
Since the end of the war in Croatia the public service television HTV has been a constant taget of criticism, from both the national and international, primarily professional public. Since that time, it has evolved into a stable public service, both in terms of programme and financially. Comparing prime time news on HTV and NovaTV, the conclusion is that they have very competitive, but also very different approaches to reporting. The paper is the report on monitoring and analysis of prime time news on HTV and NovaTV.
