Sažetak
Wishing to improve the efficiency of the "Team for thyriod diseases2 that exists in our clinical hospital last ten years, we made a clinicopathologic study of papillary and follicular carcinomas treated in ten years from 1988 to 1998. Although the survival rate was excellent (97%), all patients that passed away had carcinoma associated with unfavorable factors - men, older age, follicular carcinoma, tumor size >2.5 cm, distant metastases, high grade EMA and low grade nm32. according to these results we decieded to performe routinely immunostaining for EMA and nm32 on all papillary and follicular carcinomas.
