Sažetak
The aim of this study was to prepare melatonin loaded chitosan nanoparticles and to investigate their potential in inhibiting proliferation behaviour of human breast cancer in vitro. Recent studies on chitosan nanoparticles revealed their significant antitumor activity, related to their size and zeta-potential. At the same time, melatonin is well known for its oncostatic effects on different kinds of tumors, especially on endocrine-responsive breast cancer.
