Sažetak
The investigation is performed on 270 oak and ash forest stands in central Posavina (Lonjsko polje). Tree species proportion and stand parameters (age, basal area, number of trees, stand volume, mean height and mean diameter at breast height) are use to describe forest structure. The cluster analyses (k-means) were used. The results were compared with the usual classification of forest stands into age classes. The clusters obtained by cluster analyses show reduced variability and better describe forest structure and condition. Such data can be used in forest management practice
