Sažetak
The paper analyses the economic situation in the country and the challenge of integration, with different strategic options. In order to address the issue of the country's prospect for integration into the EU, the paper analyses the point of view of Croatia and the EU approach. It comes to the conclusion that some sort of compromise between the two strategies should be found, taking into consideration not only economic, but also political aspects.
