Sažetak
Eastern Croatia encompasses the most eastern part of the Republic Croatia (surfaces about 11 000 km2 and 1 million inhabitants). Duo to fourable geographical soil and water conditions, this region has great possibilities for sustainable agriculture with irrigation. After 1981 drought years have appeard more frequency with the average of 643 mm of annual precipitations (358 mm in vegetation of crops). In this paper definition of the dry years were calculated according to index after de Martone. Seljaninov, Lang and Palfai. Referent evapotranspiration (ETo) were carried out according to Penman-Monteiths method too Water requirements and depth of irrigations for some very important crops in east Croatia were also calculated in this paper by Cropwat computer program.
