Sažetak
The mathematical models of passive detection and location of vessels in the field of acoustic
susceptibility are analysed. Hydroacoustic systems are classified with respect to the specific
area of their application. The equation of passive hydrolocation and the passive sonar range are
considered. The characteristics of the applied hydrolocator are defined, and the mathematical
model of vessel detection and location is described on the basis of experimental investigation of
vessel"s acoustical characteristics as useful signal and sea noise. As a synthesis, the
mathematical model of an autonomous hydroacoustical system for vessel passive detection and
location is defined. On the basis of this model the verification of the theoretical results will be
done.
