Sažetak
The focus of this course is on pedagogic grammar. Corder (1974) prefers to call pedagogic grammar "the pedagogy of grammar". However, in this course pedagogic grammar is understood in a very much broader sense than just explicit teaching of the formal aspects and the rules of a target language. It implies the teacher's overall engagement in the language learning process. This involves not only helping students in cognitivizing the formal aspects of the target language and gaining functional and culturally appropriate communication skills but also the teacher's pedagogic thinking and ways how to derive from a "didactic grammar" (a teacher's grammar) a pedagogical grammar (a learner's grammar) that is suitable for a specific group of learners. In other words, a range of diverse factors will be explored that have an impact on the development of the so called pedagogic filter of the teacher and the teacher's decision making, regarding the ways in which the learners’ actual knowledge of the target language is channeled at any given stage.
