Sažetak
We conclude that different pattern of modifiable risk factors for the ischemic stroke was present in Osijek and Split. Those risk factors more related to diet (hypertension and diabetes) were more represented in Osijek, while in the Mediterranean town of Split the habit of smoking was more prevalent. In both centers male gender dominanted in smoking, while diabetes and hypertension were more common in females than in males.
