Sažetak
The paper explores the impact of religion and with religion connected values on the development of democracy in Croatia. It particularly focuses on Church-State relations after 1990, and connection between religiosity and religious praxis with attitudes which are crucial for democratic valued development, such as: social distance, respect of human rights, the way of governing the country, satisfaction with democracy etc. The paper compares in that respect Croatian and Slovenian situation on the basis of the European Value Survey data from 1999.
