Sažetak
The best known dimension stone in Zagreb is the ‘ Lithothamnium limestone’ (‘ Litavac’ ). It has been quarried on the slopes of Mt. Medvednica (Gornje Vrapče and Bizek), fabricated and polished, and used for centuries in sacred buildings, cemeteries, sculptures, and many buildings which make the centre of Zagreb recognisable today. The best known building constructed with Lithothamnium limestone is Zagreb cathedral.
