Sažetak
This article describes the approach chosen by CIAT to predict comfort level achieved by air conditioning units in different types of indoor environments. The model used is also based on experimental results. Among the experimental programs realized by CIAT, collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering University of Rijeka concerns determination of the optimal conditions that have to be fulfil in order to obtain good comfort level in open spaces. A presentation of the test facility built in Rijeka is given here. The description of the High Environmetnal Quality(HEQ) approach is also described giving the role of an HVAC manufacturer.
