Sažetak
Brain magentic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of 32 patients with clinically verified multiple sclerosis (MS) according to Poser criteria are presented. demyelinating plaques were analyzed according to their white matter localization, and to the number and size of lesions. Frederiksen classification was used. There were 18 (56.3%) women and 14 (43.7%)men aged 17-44 years. The predominant localization of lesions was periventricular (100%) with lateral ventricles, followed by subcortical, pons, corpus callosum and cerebellum, and then other localizations (cell media, medulla oblongata, spinal cord). patients were divided according to the number of lesions: group 1 with 2-6 lesions, four groups with up to 26 lesions, and a group with at least one lesion exceeding 15 mm in diameter (6 groups in total). Most numerous was the group with 7- 15(n=12, 37%). Most patients belonged to the medium group.
