Sažetak
In Croatia there are several geothermal power projects under development and while technological solutions for each field are directly determined by resource characteristics, economical analysis is often done with considerable assumptions and adjustment with large contingency costs. Serious gaps exist between cost figures appearing in the literature and cost values provided by geothermal power developers. Despite articles claiming competitiveness of geothermal power with the least expensive fossil-fuel technologies, the lack of industry growth highlighted this problem and confirmed inaccuracy of traditionally accepted cost data. Up-to-date costs data collected from various worldwide geothermal power projects was the prime objective of this article.
