Sažetak
In the Republic of Croatia there are about 4.5 million people. Among them there are 13.000 registered children with inellectual disabilities. Around 10.000 of them attend regular elementary schools. The process of integration of the pupils with special needs into regular education systen in Croatia continues for over two decades.As the integration of the pupils with special needs in regular education institutions is conducted primarily for the sake of these pupils, they should be in focus of the majority of actions undertaken by their social enviroment. One of the key issues in regular school is question of planning and programming for children with special needs.
