Sažetak
The goal of this study was to assess whether the events of war and direct war exposure as a traumatic experience, as well as life in a post-war community, led to greater perception of injustice, shifts in the value system, on the way values are realized and religiosity in young people. 1118 high-school students from regions exposed to and not exposed to war participated in the study. 70% of respondents from the regions exposed to war were exiles and were left with no home, 43% have parents that lost their jobs due to war, 36% state that they are poorer now than before the war, and 30% lost a close person during the war. Results indicate no significant differences on 5 dimensions of percieved social justice between young people from regions with different levels of war exposure. All high-school students see high levels of general social injustice, with most critical views towards « no implementation of law from the state» . Young people that come from regions exposed to war (10 years after the war), in relation to the young from other areas, have a greater level of optimism regarding their expectations to achieve their goals in the future, and a significantly higher result on the spirituality dimension of religiosity. Besides, their values are more traditional, and they are more ready to apply moral principles when realizing their personal values.
