Sažetak
In order to promote tourism as a symbol of well-being, soon after the Second World War socialist Yugoslavia introduced the system of social tourism. It consisted of subsidized accommodation and transport, and of holiday centres (odmarališta) for workers, children and youth. Originally a luxury, practising tourism slowly became a habit. Tourist mobility and social mobility were interconnected.
