Sažetak
The results of this research lead to the conclusion that in the construction industry, two favourable tendencie appear with increasing technical-technological work complexity: satisfaction with earnings increases and the need for the social prestige of the job grows. However, three unfavourable tendencies have also been recorded: psychological strain increases, unfavourable physical working conditions remain and ther is no possibility of self-actualization. Regardless of the technological level of work, employees in the construction industry are dissatisfied, indifferent and instrumentally oriented. This means that not even the minimal motivational prerequisities on which efficient organizations are based have been met in the construction industry.
