Sažetak
This paper explores a problem of innovation through introduction of information technology within the British companies and identifies the factors which might cause a successful introduction of technological change just as the factors which might be a reason of failure of that enterprise. It is evident that the programme of implementation of new technology is supposed to be followed by two complementary programmes - one relating to the change of organisation structure and another one relating to the development of managers as agents of change - should be done and go parallely, as well as continued evaluation is decisive for the success of the entire process.
