Sažetak
The paper presents the analysis of tooth-root and rim stress of spur thin-rimmed gear with middle web position, based upon the 3D FEM stress calculation. Considering the contribution of rim and web thickness, the tooth-root and rim stress distribution along the facewidth and in axial direction, respectively, are examined and the corresponding areas of stress are developed covering maximum stress appearance. In order to investigate the possibility of critical stress location existence that occurs additionally to a tooth-root critical section, maximum tooth-root and rim stress magnitudes are compared.
