Sažetak
In this paper a set of throughput measurements of TCP over ATM LAN is presented. Specifically, performance of TCP over ATM which run LAN emulation (LANE) is evaluated by experimental measurements between two native ATM hosts interconnected through ATM switch. In this study, at the ATM layer LANE is operated over unspecified nit rate (UBR) ATM service class. TCP performance is measured for various settings of TCP soccet parameters and ATM resource management parameters. In addition, LANE connection setup is studied more thoroughly and its latency is maesured for both cached and noncached destination ATM address.
