Sažetak
The genus FIbigia (Brassicaceae) include four species: Fibigia triquetra (DC.) Boiss. - Croatia, Fibigia clypeata (L.) Medicus - Macedonia, Balkan Peninsula and Krim, Fibigia eriocarpa (DC.) Boiss. - Macedonia and Balkan Peninsula, Fibigia lunaroides (Wild.) Sm. - Greece. Fibigia triquetra (DC.) Boiss. is a rare stenoendemic and relict species whose areal of distribution is a limited on a few small localities in Dalmatia and represent exceptionally valuable and protected species from Croatia. According to some recent morphological investigations a considerable differences were found between Fibigia triquetra and two other Fibigia species from Macedonia, what led to a proposal for separation of Fibigia triquetra into a new genus. Fibigia triquetra could be distinguished from Fibigia eriocarpa and Fibigia clypeata by its smaller size of amplified ITS region. Restriction digestion of ITS region with six restriction enzymes resulted in characteristic pattern of restriction fragments from Fibigia triquetra, which differentiated it from other two Fibigia species. Variability of ITS region indicated that these three Fibigia species can be clearly differented from one another. These data are in good agreement with morphological descriptions and provide substantial molecular evidence for the correct determining of the phylogenetic relationships among the investigated species.
