Sažetak
The goal of this paper is to investigate the correlation between electrostatic field of Video Display Units (VDU’ s) generated around human head located in front of VDU and related display size. The mathematical model is based on the Laplace equation for the electrostatic potential, and corresponding finite element solution. The electrostatic field is calculated for different sizes of display and for different distances between display and the human head, respectively. The results were compared with the results obtained by the finite difference method (FDM). The advantage of the presented finite element solution is a high resolution and a higher accuracy, compared to the FDM results.
