Sažetak
Law in the Republic of Croatia prescribes no legal binding paper concerning the reporting of performance indicators for the public sector, as well as for the higher education. Performance indicators, as an analytical means of business analysis, officially do not exist in Croatia. Considering the experience of highly developed countries, and considering the characteristics of the higher education in Croatia, a model of measurement and reporting of the efficiency of higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia is proposed throughout the following four groups of indicators: student indicators, financial indicators, employment indicators and research indicators. This model was tested by means of a questionnaire which was forwarded to the addresses of six of Croatian colleges.
