Sažetak
We prepared high-quality epitaxial thin films of charge density wave (CDW) system Rb0.3MoO3 on MgO substrate. CDW is a spatially modulated superstructure of conducting electrons, which can form in quasy-1D systems. In continuation to the femtosecond spectroscopy performed in [1], new studies of femtosecond time-resolved Terahertz conductivity dynamics, necessary to directly probe the relaxation processes of photo-excited carriers, need high-quality thin films. In addition, collective dynamics, especially the nonlinear dc conductivity of CDW systems, may be greatly influenced by the spatial restriction to 2D only. Film morphology was characterized by EDS, AFM, and STM, while optical and electrical properties were studied using FTIR and UV-Vis spectrometers, and THz conductivity measurements, respectively. Certain degree of crystallinity has been observed in some films by x-ray diffraction.
