Sažetak
A single specimen of Thysanoteuthis rhombus Troschel, 1857 was caught off Dolfin Islet (44°41’ N - 14°41’ E) in the eastern part of the northern Adriatic Sea. The specimen was caught using a hand squid jig at a depth of 10 m, weighing 1272 g and with a dorsal mantle length of 346 mm. This is first record of a live specimen of the species for the Adriatic Sea and the northernmost finding for the Mediterranean Sea.
