Sažetak
The application of the rule of linear accumulation of strain rate modified creep damage (the SRM rule) for lifetime prediction in the creep-fatigue interaction regime requires the knowledge of stress and inelastic strain rate during a load cycle. This may be simulated by a suitable constitutive model, thus avoiding the need to perform tests. Chaboche's viscoplastic constitutive model has been found appropriate for that purpose. The capability of the SRM rule supported by Chaboche's constitutive model has been shown to give reliable lifetime predictions in the whole range of the creep-fatigue interaction regime, on the basis of just a few fatigue tests needed for the calibration.
