Sažetak
Hydrogen has some unique properties that make it an ideal fuel. It is renewable, clean, versatile, efficient and safe. Hydrogen is not an energy source but, just like electricity, an energy carrier that presents renewable energy sources to the end users in a convenient form or at a convenient location. Coupled with renewable energy sources hydrogen will result in a permanent global energy system - so called hydrogen energy system or hydrogen economy. Hydrogen can be utilized in three forms, namely gaseous, liquid or slush (a mixture of liquid and solid) hydrogen. The production methods, storage and delivery systems, and applications of these three forms are covered in this Chapter. This Chapter also discusses hydrogen conversion methods and their applications.
